Mixing Engineer
for Independent Musicians
Where self-produced tracks become serious releases
Mixing that matches your ambition
At Mixing Hertz, I offer collaborative, high-quality mixing services for independent artists who care deeply about how their music is perceived. I specialise in transforming well-written, self-produced tracks into polished, release-ready mixes that sound right at home next to major-label artists.
If you’re serious about your sound, I’m here to help you make music that gets noticed.
Who I Work With
I work with independent artists who:
Release 3–5 songs a year
Play live shows and record at home
Use guitars or real instruments in their productions
Want to be taken seriously by playlists, radio, and the industry
Are building momentum and aiming for press coverage, good support slots, or even a record deal
Are ready to invest in a professional mix that reflects their ambition
Artists who take pride in their craft aren’t after shortcuts. They want fantastic results that stand the test of time. Is that you?
A straight forward, collaborative process
Step 1: Discovery
We’ll start with a conversation about your track, your influences, and what a great mix would mean for you. This is where I get to know your sound, your goals, and what you want people to feel when they hear your music.
Step 2: Mix Development
From there, I take your self-produced track and start shaping it into its best, boldest form. This stage is about clarity, balance, and emotional impact. Giving your music the polish and punch it needs to hold its own anywhere.
Step 3: Final Mix Delivery
After feedback and revisions, I’ll deliver a finished mix that’s release ready and stands out to your fans and the industry.

Mixing and Mastering for Radio: BBC Radio 1 Track Example
I produced, mixed and mastered this track as part of an EP for Dirty Blonde. Throughout the strategic release of this EP the band migrated from BBC introducing to Radio 1 and 6 Music. It’s a great example of how independent artists can compete at the highest level. Get the mix right and get a strategy!
Home recorded track mixed to broadcast standard – The Harbours “Scarlet”
The Harbours recorded Scarlet themselves in their home studio, sending me the full session for mixing. I helped with editing, and arrangement to tighten the groove then added some production details. After a fully polished mix we went through revisions and mastering.
The finished version has since picked up national radio play, proving you don’t need a commercial studio to make something that turns heads, just a great song and the right mix.
