RANT
Streaming platforms are basically cooked.
They thrive on old catalogue music and increasingly rely on fake AI artists, while real musicians are paid less than pennies.
They make huge amounts of money from music being played in public spaces without proper licensing, underpaying the people who actually made the work. As supposed guardians of culture, they are failing us. They take something beautiful and cathartic and turn it into background noise, then invest their profits into AI warfare instead of artists.
I believe music has value.
Direct connection has value.
Finishing things has value.
That’s why this lives here.
A bus ticket costs £2. A pint costs £6.
Music is worth at least that.
