Professional Online Mixing for Independent Artists Across the UK
Online Mixing Engineer UK
Professional online mixing and mastering for independent artists across the UK. Send your files, stay involved, and get a mix that's ready for radio and playlists. Based in Leeds, working remotely with artists everywhere.
Not just a mix
A collaboration
Most mixing services take your files and send back a finished track. That's not how I work.
At Mixing Hertz, tuition is woven into the process. You stay in creative control, you understand what's happening to your music and you leave with a better ear than when you started. Whether you're sending your files from anywhere in the UK or coming into the studio in Leeds.
That's what makes the difference, not just on this song, but on every song you make after.
How ONLINE Mixing Works
Step 1
We talk about your track
Discuss Your Music & Mixing GoalsBefore anything else, I want to hear what you're going for. A quick call or voice note exchange so I understand the vibe, the references and what the song means to you.
Step 2
Prep and send your files
Prep for Mixing & MasteringExport your stems or session files and send them over. Not sure how? I'll walk you through it exactly.Step 3
Hear it take shape
Professional Online Mixing & MasteringAs the mix develops I'll send you bounces to listen to on your own speakers, in your car, wherever. You stay creatively in control throughout and if something doesn't feel right, we work through it together.Step 4
Revisions until it's right
Revisions and deliveryRevisions are included as standard and most mixes are done in two or three rounds. No extra charges, we keep going until you're happy. Once it's signed off you get broadcast-quality files referenced across multiple playback systems. Not sure if your track is ready to mix? Get in touch and I'll give you an honest answer.
WhO IS THIS FOR?
Made for independent artists who produce at home
You don't need to be recording in a professional studio to get a professional mix. Most of the artists I work with remotely are:
Home producers who've taken a track as far as they can alone
Singer-songwriters recording in their bedroom or home setup
Bands who've tracked in a studio but want a fresh pair of ears on the mix
Artists who've used an online mixing service before and weren't happy with the result
If your music is 80% there and you can't work out what's missing get in touch.

What online mixing has done for artists like you
Home recorded tracks to playing Scala
The Harbours recorded Scarlet themselves in their home studio, sending me the full session for mixing. I helped with editing, and arrangement to tighten the groove then added some production details. After a fully polished mix we went through revisions and mastering.
The finished version was a big part of being chosen to support Smallpools at Scala.
DIY Artist On 6 Music
Hang Linton self produces his music and just needed a hand getting a couple of tracks across the line. We worked on adding that professional gloss without losing his soul from the music. It has been released by Zen FC a label from the lads in Yard Act and featured on 6 Music amongst other stations and playlists. Recently back from touring with Benefits he is creating a buzz on the alt music scene.
FAQ - Common questions about online mixing
Do I need to send stems or the full session?
Either works. If you're sending stems we'll need them properly exported and labelled, at the same sample rate, starting from bar one. If you're sending a session file I work in Logic. Not sure? Just get in touch and I'll talk you through it..
How many revisions do I get?
Revisions are included as standard. We work together until you're happy. Most mixes are done in two to three rounds.
How long does an ONLINE mix take?
You are included throughout the process so the initial mix may be as quick as overnight. Typically it’s sensible to allow five to ten working days from sending your files to get through the revision process and receive your final mix assets. I'll always give you a clear timeline upfront.
Do you mix all genres?
Yes. I’ve mixed rock, punk, indie, pop, folk, electronic, hip hop and everything in between. Have a listen to the showreel on the homepage to get a feel for the range.
Can I come into the studio even if I'm not local to Leeds?
I'm based in Leeds at Chapel Works, Stocks St, LS7. Remote artists are welcome to come in for an attended session if you'd rather work in the room. Some clients travel from Manchester, Sheffield and London for this. Just let me know.
What happens after the mix — do you offer mastering too?
Yes. Mastering is available as an add-on. I can master the track once the mix is signed off, or we can use my regular mastering engineer or take the mix elsewhere it’s entirely your call.
Ready to finish your track?
Tell me a bit about your project, what you've recorded, where you're at and what you're aiming for. I'll come back to you quickly and we'll take it from there.
